The Ireton swimming pool was constructed in 1989 through generous donations from the Ireton community in “Operation Splash”. An ADA-compliant chair lift was added to the pool for the 2013 season. Special thanks to the Sioux County Foundation for a $4,500 grant to assist with this project! An additional benefit was held in 2014 to do upgrades and repairs to the pool. An incredible $64,000 was raised and we were able to purchase a solar cover and a lot of new upgrades and repairs. Thanks to all that contributed to make this a huge success.
It is open from early June through late August each year — exact dates depend on the weather and school calendars.
Longtime pool manager is Susan Ten Napel.
Pool rules allow water toys including “noodles”. “Little Swimmers” are required for infants and toddlers. Additional rules are posted at the pool.
