DAYCARE/PRESCHOOL

Daycare and Preschools

Ireton is home to 2 preschools and a daycare center. There are also several in-home daycares nearby. This portion of the website provides information on the preschools and the West Sioux daycare center.  For information on in-home childcare, please consult the Iowa Department of Human Services childcare information.

Kids of the Kingdom Preschool (KOK)

Preschool Kids of the Kingdom Preschool is a Christian based preschool offering preschool to children age 4.  Our mission is to provide developmentally appropriate learning opportunities that will assist young children in building the cognitive, language, physical and social/emotional skills that will enable them to enter school ready to learn.

We offer preschool for children age 4 on Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 8:15-3:15.  We also offer hot lunch for the students on these days. Kids of the Kingdom participates in the Universal Preschool Program for the state of Iowa.

We are a Christian based preschool so we participate in chapel once a month with Ireton Chrisitan School students.  We also do several field trips throughout the year to places like Pizza Ranch, the Pumpkin Patch, Hillcrest Nursing Home, T and S Christmas Tree Farm, Oak Grove and Maassens Dairy.

If you would like more information about Kids of the Kingdom Preschool please contact Ireton Christian School at 712-278-2245.

West Sioux Daycare & Preschool

West Sioux Preschool and Daycare was established in 2008 after the City of Ireton and West Sioux CSD determined that local, affordable daycare was a need.

It is housed in the West Sioux Elementary: Ireton Center. It is a fully licensed daycare by the State of Iowa and is at a level 4 for the state’s Quality Rating System.

The hours are 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day except for weekends, and seven holidays during the year. There are three classrooms, the infant room (age 6 weeks-24 months), the toddler room (24 months-36 months) and the preschooler room (36 months-age 5). There is also a before and after school program for school-age children.

If interested in rates, waiting lists, and registration requirements, please contact 712-278-2374.
