Elementary Center in Ireton
Ireton, Hawarden, Chatsworth and surrounding
rural areas formed the West Sioux Community
School district in the fall of 1959. Prior
to that time, education in Ireton was
provided by the Ireton Public School. We
hope to add background information on the
schools to the History section of this
website at a later time.
In
addition to classrooms for Kindergarten and
1st grade, the Ireton Elementary Center
offers a resource room, lunch area and
gymnasium. The gymnasium is available for
rent by telephoning Ireton Elementary or the
Administration Office in Hawarden.

The Ireton Christian
School offers classes for grades
Kindergarten through 8. It is fully
accredited and is a member of Christian
Schools International. Its religious
affiliation is Calvinist (Christian
Reformed).

Kingdom Preschool
Kids of the Kingdom is
a private preschool with a classroom located
in the Ireton Christian school. It is
operated by a separate Board of Directors.
