Ireton Depot
Painting
by
Mark Anderson
(Very) Limited
Edition Prints Available

In
March, 2007, award-winning wildlife artist
Mark Anderson created a painting of the old
Ireton train depot. Siouxland Propane
of Ireton was the high bidder when the
painting was auctioned at the 2nd annual
Talent
Show.
Siouxland generously donated the painting to
the City of Ireton and donated the print
rights to the Ireton 125th committee.
We appreciate their community spirit!
A
very limited edition of 25 prints has
been made. They are signed and
numbered by the artist. Print #1 is
framed and will be auctioned at the Family
Fun night activities on Friday, June 22.
The remaining prints are available for
purchase (unframed) for $100 each by contacting Dennis Van Oort at the Iowa State Bank in Ireton
(712-278-2321). Prints are available
on a 1st come, 1st serve basis.
Mark
Anderson is the 2004 winner of the Federal
Duck Stamp contest. He has been
selected as "Artist of the Year" by numerous
state and local Ducks Unlimited chapters and
his work graces many wildlife stamps.
He generously works with local groups
to help them raise funds through
auctions/sales of his art. The Ireton
Depot painting is his first painting
focusing primarily on a building rather than
on wildlife. The 125th committee
extends its deepest gratitude to Mark for
his contributions to the 125th celebration.
